Who is responsible

This website is run by Iraklis Eric Socratous (Socrat Works), who is the controller of the personal data described here. Contact: hello@socratworks.com.

Visiting the website

The site is static. It sets no cookies, uses no analytics or tracking, embeds no third-party content and loads its fonts from its own server, so your browser only talks to socratworks.com.

The site is delivered by Cloudflare, Inc. To serve pages and protect the site against abuse, Cloudflare processes technical data such as your IP address, browser details and the pages requested, and may keep it in short-lived logs. This is based on legitimate interests (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR) in running a secure website. Cloudflare acts as a processor under its data processing terms, which include safeguards for transfers outside the European Economic Area.

Emailing us

If you send an email, we receive your email address, your name if you include it and whatever you write. It is used only to reply, to handle your enquiry and, if we work together, to carry out that work. The legal basis is taking steps at your request before a contract and performing it (Article 6(1)(b) GDPR), or legitimate interests in answering messages (Article 6(1)(f)).

Email is handled through Cloudflare Email Routing, which forwards it to an inbox hosted by Google (Gmail). Messages are kept for as long as needed for the enquiry and any work that follows, and longer only where the law requires it, for example for accounting records. Your details are never sold or used for marketing lists.

Your rights

You can ask for access to your personal data, and for it to be corrected, deleted, restricted or handed to you in a portable form. You can also object to processing based on legitimate interests. Send any request to the email address above.

You also have the right to complain to a data protection authority. In Poland this is the President of the Personal Data Protection Office (UODO, uodo.gov.pl (opens in a new tab)); you can also contact the authority in the EU country where you live or work.

Changes

If the site starts using a contact form, analytics or anything else that handles personal data, this notice will be updated first. The date at the top shows the latest version.
