Socrat Works designs and builds websites, software products and games: very different work under one name, held to the same standard. Based in Poland, working across Europe.
The name
Why “Socrat Works”?
Socrat
From Socratous, the surname of founder Iraklis Eric Socratous. It is also a nod to the Socratic method: ask the right questions first, then build the right thing.
Works
A quiet nod to the founder's first name. Iraklis is the Greek form of Heracles, known for his labours: very different jobs, each one finished.
Why a semicolon? In Greek, the question mark is written ;. It is also where a sentence pauses before it carries on, and how a line of code ends.

Ask
Every project starts with questions, not a sales pitch: what the work is for, who it serves, what success looks like and what can be left out. Good answers make everything after them simpler.
Plan
Scope, priorities, costs and timing are agreed in writing before anything is built, including running costs such as hosting or subscriptions. No surprises later.
Build
Work happens in small, reviewable steps. We set the brief, make the design decisions and review every result; AI coding agents do much of the implementation, and nothing ships until it has been tested.
Support
A clear handover with documentation, so you understand what you have and how to look after it, plus a plan for fixes and next steps after launch.

Each kind of work has its own branch and its own colour, sharing one mark. New branches can join as the work grows.
